Now that 2012 is rapidly winding down (eek! Where did all the time go?), I realize it's time to do a little review and wrap up of some big projects and milestones here... after all, it was kind of an epic year for me. The kind of epic that makes me wonder how I could possibly top it... but, I realize that I did neglect the blog a fair amount so I think that's how I can top it! So enjoy this little recap and cheers to many more projects and a very happy new year!
In my real life, there were some BIG moments. I finally
got my Ph.D. (WOHOO.. and some day I'll post the rest of these pics that I made the boyfriend take while it was 8 billion degrees outside in the Botanical Gardens)! Then I got a job and the boy, the two pups, and I
moved up to Maryland/the DC area. I did quite a bit of traveling for the job, though I only wrote about a little bit (
Aurora, CO &
Upstate, NY).
In crafty world, I became obsessed with quatrefoil (with a
bulletin board and
paint chip pattern quatrefoil project), learned how to embroider (for
St. Paddy's and Valentine's Days and
July 4th), and created the ever-changing interchangeable wreath (
Valentine's Day,
St. Paddy's Day,
July 4th, and
Clemson polka dots). I also had tons of awesome
guest posts here on the blog, participated in the bloggy olympics with a
fabric flower frame, and discovered a lot of awesome bloggers.
All in all, not a bad year... feel free to review the projects and tutorials by clicking on the pictures/links below (and remember you can always visit the project gallery on the
Past Research page - linked in the header - for all guest posts, categorized posts/posts in a series, tutorials, etc.).

Wishing you a very happy new year!
