3 Baby Chick Embroidery

Remember how I told you guys that I took up embroidery last year?  Sadly, I only rarely showed you guys any of my projects... largely because I didn't straighten them out and frame them, but this is a rare exception. I actually made this piece pretty early on in my embroidery career for the boyfriend's mother on her birthday.

I picked out some baby chick patterns from the Doodle Stitching by Aimee Ray book I've mentioned here before and just made this - three baby chicks in a row!

Then, I used the Silhouette to cut a frame shape from some patterned pink cardstock. Then, I just put them together and voila!

The boyfriend's mom loved it... probably because she loves her baby chicks, but I'm pretty proud of this little piece of artwork!
