Interchangeable Pinwheel Wreath

I made another fun attachment for my interchangeable wreath... this time, it's pinwheels in a fun pink, blue, white, and yellow color combo. Sort of summery, lots of fun!

You might remember the interchangeable wreath project - I made attachments/pieces for Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, July 4th, and some orange and purple polka dots ("Clemson season")...

This little attachment was just because I wanted something fun and I had some ribbon I liked and wanted to use somehow. It started with this pink/gray/yellow/white ribbon, which became the tie/bow to hold up this version of the wreath...

Then I cut out the white felt to use as the base of the attachments and added velcro, just like I did with the other wreaths (tutorial here with the Valentine's Day wreath).

To make the pinwheels, I started with the yellow and white and pink theme, but then added blue because I didn't have enough of the other colors on hand (and I was trying to use up some felt scraps/stash bust a bit), but I think they actually look pretty cute together...

I played with the pinwheel making for a bit and made some pinwheels double-sided (one pink side, one white) by sewing two different colored felt squares together and then creating the pinwheel from my super-thick square (version 1 in the photo). I got a bit sick of that after a bit and it was hard to deal with when the pinwheels were small so I glued the two squares together a few times (version 2 in the photo).

I didn't use any one pinwheel tutorial, but this one from Simple Crafter is awesome, as is this one from Lia Griffith.
Voila! The 5th installment of the interchangeable wreath!

I'll be sharing at some of my favorite parties...
